Our good friends at Bar Henry have opened up a new Mexican eatery, Casa Enrique, in Long Island City with Chef Cosme Aguilar.
If you are in the neighborhood, the reviews are great.
And in case you are wondering about the name, Casa Enrique means Henry's House.
Admit it. You've cooked for your dogs. Maybe not to the extent that the chefs in our book have, but a little chicken soup here, a little beef burgundy there...we get it. Well guess what? It's safe to come out from behind the apron and share your recipes with us. After all, 30 great chefs did. You tell us about your culinary canine, and we'll tell you about ours and the ones we meet along the way. Oh, and don't forget to buy the book.

Emergency Procedure for Mushroom Poisonings
If your dog should ever eat a poisonous mushroom, rush them to the vet and refer them to this story.
The gist of the matter is this: get the vet to insert a thin needle into your dog's gall bladder and drain the poison. If your dog is as lucky as Kasey from Richmond, california, on who this procedure was performed, all should be fine.
Better yet--keep the mushrooms out of your backyard by removing them at the root.
But if you happen to ingest the same poisonous mushroom, the same procedure should work for you.

Ice Cream Man!
We hear in England they have an ice cream truck just for dogs. On the other hand, human vanilla seems to work just fine.
