Brunch for Dogs

Look what we started! Chef Guillermo Tellez of Philadelphia's Square 1682--site of our Philly launch party on October 20--is capitalizing on his fame (he's one of four chefs on the cover of the book) by cooking for Philly's pooches. New brunch menu just for dogs is served on the patio at the trendy restaurant. Make a reservation next time you're in town!

What NOT To Feed Your Dog

Avocado is a no-no, according to WebMD's sideshow of foods not to feed your dog and so is ice cream, which they say may lead to gastrointestinal upset and trigger allergies, often manifest by itchiness.

While every veterinarian seems to have his/her own list of items off the table, you might want to check out this list of do's and don't's. And as always, check with your own vet before indulging your culinary canine.

Welcome!

The countdown to publication of The Culinary Canine is well under way (Sept 27 is the official release date, but who's counting?) and we decided it was time to launch our blog in addition to our Facebook page. Check back here for updates on launch parties; news about our chefs, celebrity postings from our favorite culinary canines--yours too if you tell us about them--and general buzz about the book!

We're up for pre-order on Amazon (at a discount price for all those who like to shop for Christmas in July) and the launch party circuit is heating up with parties planned for New York, October 20, Philadelphia, October 11 and San Francisco and Los Angeles in early November.

Stay tuned for updates. Check back often and tell your friends.

Plus we would love to hear about your culinary canines and what you cook for them.

Yea, we know you do so you might as well share your recipes!
